Poets in Nigeria (PIN) 5th Edition of Poetically Written Prose Competition 2021 for Nigerians 

Glass Door Initiative of Poets in Nigeria (PIN) is pleased to announce a call for submissions for the 5th edition of Poetically Written Prose which was initiated in 2017 to discover outstanding prose works exuding the aura of poetry.

Writers from all parts of the world are hereby invited to submit enchanting prose works embellished with poetic devices, in what is being tagged – “POETICALLY WRITTEN PROSE”.

  • 1st Prize ─ ₦50,000
  • 2nd Prize ─ ₦30,000
  • 3rd Prize ─ ₦20,000

Poets in Nigeria (PIN) Poetically Written Prose GUIDELINES

1. No specific theme, but submissions must be poetically written.

2. Word count: 300 ─ 500 words

3. Entries should be pasted in the body of mail (attachments are not allowed).

4. Submissions should be headlined: “POETICALLY WRITTEN PROSE” and must not be used as title of the submission.

5. Any submission without an independent title will be voided.

6. One entry per participant.

7. Submissions should include brief biography, photograph and contact information (name, email address and phone number)

8. All entries must be original works of authors and NOT PREVIOUSLY PUBLISHED.

9. Any submission found to have been previously published will be voided.

DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSION

All entries should be forwarded to glassdoornigeria@gmail.com, from 9th April to 10th June, 2021.

NOTE: Submission of entry is an explicit approval for Glass Door Initiative to use any work as may deem appropriate. Authors would be duly acknowledged.
